The coronavirus era has changed many aspects of society. However, this does not just include where we go and with whom – it includes what we wear while we are doing it. COVID-19 has created a pandemic fashion of sorts. This pandemic fashion is heavily rooted in a work from home style. However, even with offices reopening across the country, the work from home style of fashion that pervaded living rooms has now invaded the office and retail space.

This pandemic fashion is very much rooted in a work from home style of clothing. So, kick off your high heels, lose the loafers, and toss the ties! Going corporate is now all about comfort. Think athleisure wear, casual attire, and clothes that no longer require dry cleaning services. While pajamas and your favorite bunny slippers may not have been given the green light just yet, leggings, t-shirts, jeans, athleisure wear, tennis shoes, and comfy sandals have certainly shown up in this current climate of pandemic fashion featuring work from home style wardrobe.

Depending on the job title, some offices may or may not go completely casual. But they may also not require stiff formal wear, either. For example, one way the pandemic has changed fashion is using the work from home style in combination with other typical business wear to create a hybrid look. For example, think hoodies with ties, or slacks with sneakers. It is likely that different offices and jobs will require and tolerate different things, however, pandemic fashion is certainly here to stay. Personal comfort became such a top priority during the pandemic that it is highly unlikely that it will be tossed right out the window.
