Is there anything more satisfying than totally nailing (pun intended) a trend? When it comes to accessorizing, these nail trends are a great way to make a statement. We scoured the web for inspiration and found some summer nail trends that you might want to consider.
1. Mismatched Pastel Nails
The mismatched manicure trend has been around for a few years now, changing slightly here and there. Take this new twist on an old trend and get yourself an adorable mismatched manicure, featuring pastel colors that just scream summer. This is also an easy trend to accomplish yourself, with a variety of nail polish and a little patience. The light, happy tones are a great way to pump yourself up for warmer weather.
2. A Pink Marble Manicure
Marble manicures remind us of Easter eggs but people seem to love them! The swirls and mixing are achieved by using dip powder, and this can be done by either a professional nail artist or yourself at home with a kit. They have a bold vibe but are still relatively understated if you pick a softer color.
3. Fruity Nails
This trend will most likely have to be done by a professional unless you have perfected your skills over the course of quarantine. Just start with a fun and bright base color, choose your favorite summer fruits, and get to work! You could keep it consistent like this example, or you could incorporate the mismatched trend as well and create a fruit bowl on your nails 🙂
4. Jelly Nails
Jelly nails have a 90s nostalgic feel to them. By using many layers of special translucent gel polish, nail artists are able to create these stunning see-through creations! This specific version reminded us of The Care Bears.
5. French Ombré Nails
This trend is an elegant combination of two nail styles: the French manicure and the ombré. The ombré does a nice job of modernizing the classic French manicure and transforms the look making it a tad less formal for more of an every day look.
At the end of the day, nails trends happen for a reason and they should be played with. Have fun with your nails as they can be on of the first things somebody sees.
